Reviews
Went here for our work Christmas party and I was blown away by the food! Every single thing we had served to us from the feed me menu was just spectacular! The kingfish ceviche, smoked beef and pork belly was honestly the best food I’ve ever had in a restaurant! I loved the decor and atmosphere and cannot wait to return. Also really enjoyed the tunes they had playing. Oh we also had some cocktails and they were very delicious and special!
We got the feed me menu as it was our first time here, and it was a great choice. The oysters were perfect and the kingfish sashimi was so fresh. The pork belly was the stand out dish for us - it was tender, juicy and very flavourful. Everything else was amazing as well.
We were surprised at the generous portion sizes, especially considering the number of dishes that were served to us.
The service was excellent also. Shine, our waitress, was so lovely and attentive the whole night, and made sure we did not leave hungry.
Definitely will return the next time we're in Melbourne.
Last night I invited my friend to celebrate my best friend birthday. It was a good memories for us because all of the staffs so friendly and good service. I love they presentation of the food. the food and the cocktails so delicious. We will come back here again! Love it. Thank you!!
All dishes were delicious and cocktails were amazing!
The only disappointment was the lobster betal leaf. You can barely taste the lobster which is a waste of the ingredient being minced in the wrap. The pork jowl salad was our favourite dish! The pork belly was also yum but we prefer it more crispy.
The service was prompt and friendly.
Lovely experience, however slow service and long wait for food. We ordered feed me menu that includes multiple starters, mains and desert. The beef tataki and the chicken were 10/10. However after ordering we waited 40 mins for starters, just a bit too long. Also given the price at 120$ pp, it seemed a bit on the expensive side compared to others places.
The service as well as food at Kekou surprised us greatly, being our first visit. Both were outstanding. The dishes were beautifully presented as well as delicious. My sparkling glass of water never reached 1/2 empty without being topped up. Highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to returning soon.
I was excited to try Kekou after having a meal at their sister restaurant Klae and can definitely see some similarities in their menus with some play on various Asian flavours, but both are different enough for you to try both.
I came here with a group of girlfriends and we had the feed me menu that was $88pp which we felt was so affordable with how much food we got! It's definitely a restaurant you could have group dinners at. We were seated at the second floor that had a few other groups and it was spacious enough to fit everyone and not too loud to have conversations around the table.
The oysters and lobster betel leaf were definitely highlights for the snacks, and the pork belly was so tender I only wish I had a bigger appetite to have more of it. We also had the calamansi parfait which was such a refreshing end to the meal. Definitely opt for the feed me if you can't decide, you won't be disappointed!
Great venue. Food overall was great bar the spanner crab tart and the bread balloon. Everything else we sampled was nice, especially the kingfish sashimi. Overall however the menu needs work.
